What made you apply for the grant?
I decided to apply for the grant because I'd like to collaborate closely with Dr. Márton Demeter, the Head of the Department for Science Strategy at the UPS. I strongly believe that this collaboration may result in international projects and many co-authored international publications.
What do you expect from the program?
I'd love to run a comparative Polish-Hungarian research project devoted to the career paths of academics in both countries and internationalization strategies. Such a comparison seems highly desirable because both countries are among the most productive countries in the region, in terms of international publication and impact. The analysis of their strategies, implementations and results regarding the internationalization of research and inclusion strategies might be instructive for other countries.
What role does this grant play in your professional career?
It is a unique chance to form a research team with Hungarian colleagues. Previously, I collaborated with scholars from the UK, US, and Slovakia. I do believe in international science and I’m glad I have an excellent opportunity to broaden my network.
