What inspired you to apply for the grant?
The main inspiration for applying to the Program came from my colleague Nebojša Nikolić, who shared with me his excellent experiences and the warm hospitality he received at Ludovika University. Furthermore, once I realized that the University educates future military officers, there was no doubt in my mind about applying, since I teach at the University of Defense in Serbia.
What do you expect to gain from the Program?
My expectations ranged from curiosity about how education is organized there, to the level of knowledge and communication with students. At the same time, it was important for me to understand the way students think and perceive contemporary international relations. As our two nations are close and often share common interests and aspirations, I was also interested in exploring whether there might be opportunities for future cooperation.
How does this grant contribute to your professional development or career goals?
My stay at Ludovika University has certainly had a positive impact on my professional development, especially considering that I am the Head of the Centre for Neighborhood and the Mediterranean at the Institute of International Politics and Economics. It seems that I now have colleagues in Hungary with whom I can pursue cooperation in the implementation of research projects.
