What inspired you to apply for the grant?

I was inspired by the excellent presentation of the Program, which sparked my curiosity, even though the name of LUPS was not so strongly presented in publicity.  My previous experience in working with Hungarian institutions convinced me that there is a significant tradition in dealing with international issues and in international cooperation.
A second reason was my interest in learning more about the results of research in international relations, which the John Lukacs Analyses of Global Affairs fully confirmed. I was also interested in the organization of the research and educational processes.
There is also an interesting aspect of Hungarian foreign policy: its good relations with Serbia, as well as with the Republic of Srpska, one of the two entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

What do you expect to gain from the Program?

First, I expect to continue our cooperation, either by joining some research projects or by working independently in coordination with LUPS researchers. I am also ready—if it is considered a useful contribution—to give lectures on various topics relevant to the LUPS curriculum. I am also trying to familiarize myself with the methodologies used in LUPS research.

How does this grant contribute to your professional development or career goals?

First, I gained an overview of the goals and principles guiding LUPS’s work in international affairs, as well as of its potential users and broader audience. I also met several people with whom I may cooperate at different levels. Additionally, I was introduced to interesting colleagues, which already represents a form of networking.
