Erdal Coşkun
Dr Erdal Coşkun, építő- és szerkezetmérnök, az Istanbul Kultur Egyetem Építőmérnöki Karának adjunktusa, aki egyetemünkre a 2023-as Kahramanmaraş-i földrengés tapasztalataival, annak különböző szerkezetekre gyakorolt hatásairól készült tanulmánnyal érkezett. Előadásából megismerhettük a földrengések mechanizmusát, valamint a Kahramanmaraş-i földrengés kiváltó okait és hatásait a különböző mérnöki szerkezetekre, amelyek földrengés utáni állapotát látványos fotókkal érzékeltette. Kitért a földrengést követő mentési munkálatokra, kiemelve a magyar Hunor mentőcsapat Törökországban végzett áldozatos munkáját.

What made you apply for the grant?
I applied for a university scholarship because it offered the opportunity to collaborate and develop my academic interests. In addition, receiving a scholarship will enable me to focus more on my studies and research and will contribute positively to my academic and professional development.
What do you expect from the program?
Sharing my knowledge and experiences is my most important professional satisfaction. I also expect to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and experiences from this program that will take me forward in my engineering field. I expect to interact with expert faculty, collaborate with colleagues, and access resources to deepen my knowledge and proficiency. In addition, I wish to take advantage of this opportunity to promote greater collaboration and synergy between our institutions, fostering an environment conducive to interdisciplinary innovation and scientific advancement.
What role does this grant play in your professional career?
Thanks to this support, I can access the networking and research opportunities necessary to advance my career. In addition, this scholarship increases my credibility in academic life, opens the doors of future opportunities, and enables me to achieve my medium and long-term career goals.
