What made you apply for the grant?
I am very happy to have been selected and invited to your university for the Ludovika Scholar program. Regarding the reasons that prompted me to apply for the grant, so firstly, it was quite a spontaneous decision as I am always open to new opportunities and new experiences. After receiving information about the possibility of applying for the grant in Ludovika Scholar program, I filled in the application form without hesitation. I have been looking for a similar opportunity to go on a teaching visit to a foreign university for some time. Secondly, I have already visited this university eight years ago. The purpose of that visit was to attend the conference “Public Management for the Future: Innovative Ways of Governing and Managing” and present my research results. Therefore, I wanted to come back here to learn more about the university and the faculty, and to get to know Budapest better. It is always useful to make new contacts during such visits, discuss the possibilities of joint research, share experiences, etc. And thirdly, certainly the grant awarded by this program was also an important factor in the decision to apply.
What do you expect from the program?
Since every visit to a foreign university and learning about a new environment promotes personal growth, therefore I expect from my participation in the Ludovika Scholar program my professional development as a teacher and researcher, to bring new ideas for research and publications and new professional contacts which can be valuable for future collaborations, gain new experience and have a good and useful time during my visit.
What role does this grant play in your professional career?
Undoubtedly, grants play a significant role in professional life, especially among university teachers and researchers, providing both the opportunity to visit other universities, share experiences, make new contacts, and financial support. For me, who was selected and successfully received this grant, its impact on my professional life can be significant, not only in terms of financial support, but also in terms of recognition, opportunities for growth and the opportunity to make a positive impact in the relevant fields.
